Day trips - Nature and Sport
Nature lovers and sports enthusiasts will not be short of anything in the area surrounding El Refugio. There are many beautiful walks in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park, which can be reached directly from our B&B. There is a nice suitable route for every type of hiker... from a circular walk to Alcaucín of over an hour to a brisk day trip to La Maroma, the highest point (at 2,069m) of the nature park.

Various challenging routes await cycling enthusiasts and we are happy to help you find a route that suits your level and wishes.
Electric mountain bike
It is also possible to rent an electric mountain bike directly from our Boutique B&B El Refugio via our cooperation partner Andaluz E-Bikes.
Whether you enjoy exploring gravel roads, climbing mountains or descending hills, an e-mountain bike makes riding terrain that would otherwise be too steep or challenging suddenly feasible and even enjoyable. You can enjoy the scenery and natural beauty around you, without excessive physical exertion.

But if you want it less strenuous, a wonderful (flat) bike ride along the coast is also possible. Bicycles (also electric) can be rented at various places in the coastal town of Torre del Mar
