Charming B&B with perhaps the most beautiful view over the Axarquía

Twee kilometer voorbij het dorp Alcaucín ten noordoosten Málaga, houdt de weg op en waan je je aan het einde van de bewoonde wereld. Op deze unieke locatie , aan de voet van de Maroma – de hoogste berg van de provincie Málaga – biedt Boutique B&B El Refugio een ideale combinatie van rust, natuur en luxe, perfect voor wie wil ontsnappen aan de drukte van het dagelijks leven.

El Refugio is a small-scale adults-only B&B and offers 4 atmospheric rooms with private entrance, of which two comfort rooms and two spacious suites. All rooms, with an en-suite bathroom, are modern and furnished with attention to detail and are equipped with all the facilities you need during your stay.

Bij El Refugio vier je vakantie in je eigen ritme. Begin je dag met een vers ontbijt (met o.a. huisgemaakte producten) op de patio met je blik op het oneindige uitzicht, geniet van tapas of een lichte lunch bij het zwembad en ontdek lokale smaken. Wij verwennen onze gasten regelmatig met een heerlijk 3-gangen diner waar je bij kunt aanschuiven. En de honestybar is altijd beschikbaar voor dat heerlijke verkoelende drankje. Ook in het dorp op 5 minuten rijden en in de nabije omgeving zijn er tal van restaurants, van de typisch Spaanse keuken tot de Indiase keuken, er is veel afwisseling. Many walks , including ‘El Saltillo’ with its spectacular suspension bridge (also known as the little brother of the ‘Caminito del Rey’) are located in the immediate vicinity. Or cycle with the electric mountain bike directly from El Refugio into the Sierra de Tejeda nature park and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views.

But do you just want to do nothing for a while? The beautiful and spacious garden with swimming pool is the perfect place to relax. Everything here revolves around unwinding and enjoying nature. Look around you and dream away at the stunning views of the mountains, Lake Viñuela and the olive trees.   Or relax in the hammock, listen to the soft rustling of a cooling breeze and hear the birds in the background.

In the vicinity are authentic white villages such as Canillas de Aceituno, Comares, Nerja, Frigiliana and Mijas. For a cultural excursion, several royal cities such as Málaga and Granada (or even Córdoba) are within easy reach for a day trip full of history and charm.
